I used to have strep throat and tonsilitis every year.  It was awful.  It got so bad that one year I looked in the mirror and saw all of the white pus sacks surrounding my  tonsils.  I was bout 19 years old, homeless and no health insurance.  I (don't do this!) ended up with long cotton swabs soaked in mouth wash and pressed against the sacks until I knocked out the infection.  I NEVER had this problem ever again.  Seriously.  Get rid of the infection, get rid of the problem.
good luck

I put this on your post, but here it is again:

"If you are referring to the holes in tonsils when you are healthy, they are sometimes called "scar pits".  These are left from previous infections of the tonsils such as strep or tonsillitis. Small pus sacs form on the tonsils while your sick, then the tonsil cleans off when you heal.  This tends to leave irregular shaped holes or "pits" on the surface. Those that have had many infections can develop tonsils that look like the surface of the moon. An exudate is any fluid that filters from the circulatory system into lesions or areas of inflammation, so this will only occur during the infection or challenge."
