Bruised shin badly 5 weeks ago and just discovered a small lump

Almost 5 weeks ago I bruised my shin very badly in one place (about half way up my shin), and the bruise developed to dark brown & yellow and is still faintly there (now it is a fainter brown line with yellow surrounding it). Today I noticed that on feeling both of my legs, in the same place, that there is a hard lump under the skin, around 2.5 cm long and 2cm wide (along the brown part) although it isn't visible at all. It and the surrounding area hurts quite a bit if I apply pressure. I can walk fine now but it did hurt A LOT when walking when I first got the bruise and whilst I had it for a couple of weeks. It was VERY tender to any touch for about 2-3 weeks but isn't that bad now, as I say, unless pressure is applied. I think it may just be Hematoma because the symptoms seem to match up (although it doesn't 'move' like some places have said it could do) but I've had it for 5 weeks and noticed the lump today and wondered if there was a way to reduce the lump or if it could be an actual problem. Thanks in advance

Hello~
It sounds like a "calcified nodule" to me. I got one when I hit my shin bone very hard one time. The doctor did a biopsy on it, and sure enough, that is what it was.  I don't really know if there is anything you can do yourself, if it persists, I would see  your GP.
