gallbladder concern

I had a acute attack and was given a HIDA scan that showed function of 11%. Then an endoscopy that showed small ulcer. I was treated for that and given another endoscopy to show they had healed. I am still having issues with the gallbladder but not in extreme pain. Surgeon wants to wait to see if symptoms get acute again. I am aggrevated with the symptoms and fear the extreme pain coming back. should I push to have it out or wait?

I have been on pain meds for months. Not taking everyday but when I need it.. The dr. said its up to me . But don't want surgery if I don't have to. But when I get an attack I feel like I should just do it.

please wait this is not something to try to do on your own that will be more painfull than waiting it out if the pain is to bad than seek your dr and demand a decent pain killer
