Laparascopic surgery recovery question

Is laparascopic surgery for something like a splenectomy an outpatient procedure?  If not, what is the typical in hospital recovery time?

The Laparascopic surgery is very simple.. I had the procedure when my tubes where tied... there are two very small incisions made one in the belly buttton and the other slightly above the pelvic area.. It can be done as an outpatient procedure, as mine was outpatient... the recovery time varies with the individual having the surgery.. you cant pick up more than 5 pounds for a week or two.. there isnt much pain afterwards while healing.. slight cramping and a little discomfort feeling is all I had. It is a much better procedure than being cut all the way open....
