Are these side-effects from stopping a low-carb diet normal?

For some background, I am a 24 year old female who is overweight and has a history of PVCs and anxiety issues. I'm currently on 50mg Zoloft and have been since August. On Monday I started a low-carb diet. On Tuesday I started to feel awful and tired. I did not eat a big breakfast that day due to running late for work. On Wednesday, I woke up with the same light-headed fatigued feeling. I broke my low carb diet and began eating carbs again. I was still being lightheaded and I had palpitations. I ate a snack of veggie straws before bed and woke up an hour later. I checked my blood sugar (I'm not diabetic, but my dad is) and it was 109. Today. I woke up with horrible nausea and heartburn. I eat pancakes for breakfast and felt fine afterward. At noon I noticed that I was sweating from the armpits and under my breasts, but I did not feel hot. I also experienced a quick few seconds long chest pain on the left side of my chest. I ate lunch that just consisted of fruit, veggie straws, fruit snacks and a granola bar. This got me till 4pm when I started to have awful heartburn and a headache. I also noticed I was spotting even though my period ended a week ago. (no sexually active, so no way of being pregnant). I got home and took a Tylenol and had fast food for dinner. I felt better, but then I has a sudden chest pain that lasted a few seconds again, but it felt crushing and it was more towards the center of my chest. Is my body going haywire due to sudden dietary changes? Should I be concerned?

Your symptoms could be from diet changes, but I can't really comment a lot on your diet, because you aren't really specific.

What are "veggie straws"?  Are they real vegetables cut into sticks that look like straws or are they a snack that comes in a bag, supposedly made from vegetables?  What were your pancakes made from and what did you have on them?  What were the "fruit snacks"?  Were they fresh fruit or a boxed snack, like dried fruit?  Of what did the fast food meal consist?

Once we know more about the actual food you're eating, we can better comment on your symptoms.  That said, chest pains should always be taken seriously and any time you feel that you are in medical distress, you should call 911 or go to the nearest ER.
