Lower leg numbness

My son is complaining that his leg from the knee down goes numb or falls asleep on a daily basis.  He has gone to see a doctor and he suggests that it is a pinched nerve;  want an opinion of what to do as this seems to be chronic in nature.

Sounds like a pinched nerve to me. I would ask that a mri or ct scan be done to have it checked. Pinched nerves can cause permanent damage. How old is your son? Hope he is ok. Best wishes.
