Lump on chest?

Hey!
So a  bit about me, I'm a 17 year old female who loves sports and is in general good health.
However, it has come to my concern this small (maybe 2x2cm) lump located near the top middle right of my chest.
This lump seems to have been getting bigger which worries me but not a lot bigger. It is hard like a bone, although no match lump on other side of chest. it does not move although hurts to be pushed on.
I have been to the doctor who all he did was touch around it for about a minute or less, then said i was fine.
Im also worried because when i was 3 I had open heart surgery, and many bones in my chest are held together with staple type things, which I'm scared could have something to do with it.
I do not have any other symptoms except unrelated sharp ear and side pain occasionally.
Any advice or help would be appreciated immensily !
Cheers guys!
