Normal to have irritated throat a week after burn?

Exactly a week ago, I burned my throat drinking coffee. then for about 3-4 days I avoided drinking hot tea and coffee. When I tried again, I get an irritated sensation, not painful. The coffee I was drinking was cool enough to hold in my mouth with no issue, yet it still causes the irritation.

From what I understand. burning the throat heals fairly quickly. and the burn wasn't that severe, with only irritation left after the brief, but mild pain.

Hello~You could still have some irritation from the burn. Try drinking some Aloe Vera juice, this is great for burns both internal and external.
