The back pain and buttock pain are fairly definitive for Sciaticia. She needs a Lumbar L1-L-5 MRI. Females often have a low hematocrit and iron deficiency anemia, but that and her fantigue have nothing to do with the back problem.
She has to think about going to a specialist for exercises to relieve the pressure on the nerve. And to learn to lift properly and to avoid heavy lifting. In a car she should sit on a foam cushion of inflatable seat.
A TENS device, prescribed by a physician, can often provide tremendous pain relief.
Sometimes a surgical procedure called a laminectomy is required, but this is a last resort.
I have a pain also like this. If I sit in the recliner I get great relief but its as long as I sit there. If I sit in a chair to type on my computer it is an excruciating pulling pain that travels into my side. Feels I cant bend or stoop, I am 230 lbs but this was going on before the weight gain. I went to a spine specialist and he suggested a series of 3 spinal, epidural injections these did not help. That took my savings since I had not met deductible and then every treatment was 20%. Now I am unemployed no ins and pain constantly. Advice is needed
Hi,
It sounds neurologic in nature to me; possibly the sciatic nerve. I would recommend her seeing a neurologist. Low iron counts can cause lower back pain, but I am thinking this is neurologic.
