Please help me!!!!!

Please help!  I have had this problem with aerosols and solvents a couple years now. Every time an aerosol is sprayed around me it's like I inhale it and I can't stop. I don't want to do it just my breathing gets much bigger and I think I get stoned. I just hope I don't.  What's wrong with me?  I get a headache and nausea after this happens, please help me the best way u can.

The chemicals in many aerosols create pleasant sensations within the brain.

Without exception they cause irreversible brain damage. If you continue with this "hobby" you can look forward to partial paralysis, loss of speech, degradation of thought processes, loss of sentience, possible incontinence, and blindness.

Distracting oneself when temptation or cravings arise really does help.  Usually, as with most such cravings, within a few minutes the temptation or craving will stop.  Going for a walk when the temptation arises will really help.  Not buying anything with an aerosol trigger is helpful, too.

And, as was mentioned, you are probably allergic to these chemicals.  Consider yourself lucky if this is the case--if huffing has been a problem.  Multiple Chemical Sensitivity is no fun, but it's better than causing yourself more misery if huffing has been the problem that lead to the Multiple Chemical Senstivity.

you must be addicted to aerosols, don't inhale them, you could die. just ignore the urge to inhale them, your brain is stronger than your consciousness.

It sounds like you are allergic to the chemicals and your body is having a reaction, a rather bad one I might add.

I would avoid all aersols and solvents and when you have to be around them, wear a mask, hopefully this will help.

Have you talke to an allergist about this?
