Second Hand Exposure

I DO NOT smoke at all -- I have never even smoked a cigarette in my life. I literally was talking on the phone outside when two people walked by casually smoking marijuana. I couldn't tell they were until this lady literally exhaled the smoke almost in my face as she walked by and I definitely inhaled some second hand smoke -- it was that strong. I literally had to get off the phone and ask them were they serious.

I just got a new job and will be expected to take a drug test next week. I normally wouldn't think much of that episode, but am somewhat concerned because I definitely inhaled some of the second hand smoke as they walked by. Any chance this could show up in a test? Since I was exposed to the smoke and felt that I inhaled it, I am trying to figure out how the smoke would not be able to affect a drug test with a false positive.

Thoughts?

The answer is NO.

Scientific journals show NO instances where passive inhalation of marijuana smoke, even under extreme conditions, caused urine specimens of non-marijuana users to test positive for THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) using the screening and confirmation cutoff levels currently mandated by SAMHSA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).
