underage drinkin is bad.but i am self willingly getting off an alcohol addiction,i took xr 600 mg in the morning and thought after two hours i could drink with my friends,i was wrong >_< its the worst feeling in the world, trust me my heart is still burning ill never drink again let alone with seroquel any dosage
Well, I went to the MD Wed 3/ 9 and she told me that I could drink on the medicine, she said if I wasnt sure about it, then wait at least 4hours after drinking and my blood alcohol level should be back to -0- by then. If anything I could just take the med in the morning. She stated that I"m on a very small amount of seroquel, I take 25mg and a average normal dose is 1.25mg. So she thought I woulld be fine, just an update for everyone and anyone that didnt know what to do in the event they might want to knock a few down.
I have been on Zoloft for many years, and I dont drink but on social occasions. I have had a drinks while taking zoloft and never had any problems. I am in the health care field and understand the importance of taking care of your body. I contracted Hep C while taking care of people in a hospital setting. Now, Im 35, no kids, no husband, and about to go thru the next year of my life under hard treatments for the HepC for 11months to be exact. I will no longer ever be able to drink after this vacation or EVER due to this illness. So, I am just asking what I should do about the seroquel. Should I wait and take it the next morning, I usually take it before goin to bed. It knocks me out. Im going to have some drinks, there are no "ifs" or "ands" about it. And I wasnt asking for judgement, just simply wanting to know what the best way to go about this would be.
I am not a doctor, but a doctor doesn't need to know that you aren't allowed to drink and take anti-depressants. You can cause some serious health injuries to your body. Are you willing to put yourself at such a high health-risk? I would think not. Please, keep safe.
I would advise NOT to do this; not a good idea.
Best wishes, have fun, and good luck.
