So sick - but why?

Last week I had what seemed to be a very bad cold and issues with my asthma. I was scheduled to go to the doctor but had a medical emergency with my son. I doubled up on the albuteral and that seemed to really help. But I am still coughing up mucus, and have a very bad headache on the top of my head as well as the temples and above eyes. My sinus are bothering me. In addition to all these symptoms, I have what seems to be a bladder infection. Frequent urniation, pressure, pain on right side of stomach, and lower back. BUT no burning or itching. The symptoms seemed to be improving but now hit really hard last night, i thougth of trying to get to dr but and week and dizzy and dont thinnk I can drive. Can hardly focus enough to type this.

Dear Acorn,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well.  I have also experienced similar symptoms for almost 2 weeks.  It started with congestion, sore throat, swollen glands, blowing my nose, coughing up mucous, coughing at night and itchy eyes.  My doctor prescribed an antibiotic, but did not work.  I figured out when the antibiotics were not working, that this was related to my allergies.  The ragweed count is very HIGH at this time of year on Long Island, NY.
I went back to my doctor and she suggested trying Claritin or Allegra once a day with asterpro nasal spray at night for the post nasal drip.
Do you have a good allergist?  Are you drinking enough water?  Where do you live?  I have a feeling your symptoms are related to the change in weather and the ragweed being so high. I hope this helps you.  I am not a doctor, but have educated myself in the health and wellness industry for many years.  I would see an allergist and also another specialist for your bladder issue.  Feel better.
