Spironolact 100mg

My doctor perscribed Spironolact 100mg 2x per day.  I am not over weight or suffer from heart disease.  She gave me this to reduce the rapid growth of unwanted body hair.  Does this sound normal?  Can this cause other health problems?

yes, check if you have pcos.  you should be tested for this and not have your doctor assume a diagnosis as some do or dismiss.  That is one sign (body hair) another is skipped/missed monthly cycles and weight gain that isn't easily lost.  Your medication is a mask for pcos if that is what you have.  If so you should be taking glucophage too.
