Pounding Head - Profuse Sweating

Hello,

I have a lot of the same exact symptoms. Weight gain, whoosing type noises, Pounding headaches worsened by light at times, profuse clammy sweating from head to toe. Even while sitting still. Subnormal body temperature 96.8 to 97.9, dizzy spells (NOT VERTIGO), Chronic Fatigue, Hypertension, high cholesterol, severe flushing without the redness, limb tingling and pitted peripheral edema ( from the knees down). A whole range of tests were done by a Cardiologist - Normal, Endocrinologist - Bloodwork normal, Gastroenterologist - Normal (no carcinoids detected) Nuerologist - discovered 2 small cerebral aneurysms while doing an MRI to rule out MS and assured me that this is NOT the cause of the symptoms I am having. No diagnosis has been made so I can start to treat all of these horrible, debilitating and embarrassing symptoms.

This list of specific symptoms that I have, got to give someone the clues needed to help diagnose whats going on.
Pheochromocytoma was ruled out, no Renal Stenosis or carotid blockage, no regurgitation or mitral valve leaks, no sign of DVT or congestive heart failure, It is most DEFINITELY not psychological..I tried all of there treatments and medications as well. Some days, I can't even get out of bed and I am only 38 years old. I have had all of these symptoms for about 10-12 years and they have progressed. The only new symptoms over the past few months are the pitted peripheral edema and the migraine type headaches..

Someone please help me out!  These symptoms have got to add up to something. Can a Pheochromocytoma, appear somewhere else besides the adrenal gland? Only a Thin Slice adrenal CT scan were done.

Any other suggestions or disorders you think my be the cause?  I am desperately waiting for someones advice!

Sincerely,

Sean - Male 38

Dear Margypops,

I was told it was anxiety about 10 years ago and did all of there treatment and a variety of different meds (which was absolute hell) with NO results at all. I took every SSRI there is and even tried meds that weren't SSRI's and nothing made any difference. Up until a few years ago, several Psychiatrists said that I definitely must have a physical underlying issue since none of the treatments made any difference and took me off of meds completely. I thought for sure that stopping the medicines would cease the dizzy spells and profuse clammy sweating and they didn't. About the flushing, several Doctors that had no clue about my background instantly assumed it was Anxiety related and gave me Ativan which would help with the Flushing. After trying that method, the flushing didn't improve 1 bit. I was told by the psychiatrist that my mild depression is caused by physical symptoms from feeling lousy all of the time. There is definitely something physically going on here and I am desperate to find an answer.

But, thanks..This was already checked into very thoroughly with no luck.
But thanks for the reply.

Best Wishes and health!

Sean
