I'm a 22 year old female, and I haven't been well in 4.5 months. First I had persistent strep that required a few courses of antibiotics to go away, and then I had a sinus infection. In the in-between time I have had consistent nasal congestion, sore throat, plugged-feeling ears, and have been extra tired. I am always more tired than other people, but I've been even more tired lately.
I'm not sure if these things are related, but all year I've also had intermittent weeks of waking up in cold sweats, my hands/body have been trembling to varying degrees, and I get random shivers. I've always gotten the random, sudden shivers, but lately the frequency has increased.
Also, I never get fevers. Since I was 10 I haven't had a real fever. My normal body temperature is 97.9, and the highest it's gone is 99.5, which was when I had strep recently. I get sick fairly regularly, but never with a fever. I tend to get sinus infections and need antibiotics at least twice a year.
Would seeing an immunologist make sense? Is there another type of doctor that might be able to help me out? There's nothing severe wrong at the moment, but I haven't felt well for months now and that's just not normal.
