I agree with everyone else, see a doctor ASAP, sounds like herpes to me.
The only other thing it could be is Candida, a type of yeast infection, again, this can be ruled out by seeing your doctor and having some tests run.
Sorry laurenxx21, I do not know if you can buy a swab test. I have never seen them to buy at the pharmacy so I would imagine not. Whether there is a service available through the internet, I do not know.
I strongly would advice you to get it done through your doctor, or by going to a GUM clinic.
If you have been kissing, you may have picked up the "mono" virus.
But I suspect it is a fungal problem.
At home, don't use soap or shower gels down below because this alters the pH level of the skin. Simple soap and baby washes should be fine.
You can also apply natural set yogurt to your washed genital area to help ease the itchiness and tingling.
Eating natural yogurt will also help for mouth thrush.
It is likely that you may require a course of antifungals to take by mouth. There are creams for the genital area and also oral gels for use with fungal problems in the mouth. But as you have symptoms in the mouth and down below, the doctor is likely to prescribe capsules for you to take and may prescribe the separate medications for use on the genitals and in your mouth.
You can purchase Canestan cream for Thrush in the genital area and Daktarin oral gel for use in the mouth. Fluconazone 100mg can also be purchased without a prescription. This is a 1 capsule single dose to treat fungal problems. These medications may come under a different name where you live.
Because you do have a problem in your mouth, throat and your genital area, I feel it is wise to get seen by the medical profession. The doctor can prescribe a much stronger medication and for much longer than 1 day if this is needed. The swab would also indicate which bacteria/fungal problem you have and whether this is a sexually transmitted disease that needs treating by antibiotics.
Make an appointment soon.
Let me know how you get on.
Best wishes
and i thought it could be a bacterial infection, but i don't have a fever..
could i buy a swab test at the store?
Make an appointment as soon as possible either with your doctor or the GUM clinic.
A swab test of your mouth and your vagina, as well as a blood test would show whether you have a bacterial or fungal infection and be treated with the appropriate antibiotic or antifungal.
In the meantime do not have any sexual contract or oral sex with anyone.
There are creams that are available for fungal infections from the pharmacist for the genital area as well as antifungal gel for the mouth, but because you do have a problem with your mouth, throat and voice and symptoms down below it is better to get checked out by the medical profession.
From what you are describing, it sounds like you have Herpes. You need to go and get checked out by a doctor to confirm that this is an STD. I hope I am wrong but either way you need to get into see a doctor.
I would go to a doctor asap!
