Topical antibiotics?

So I have a cut on my head and am applying an antibiotic cream once a day to help speed up healing. This can't dry out my hair or anything, can it? I may just be overthinking because I have a tendency to do that.

How much of this antibiotic are you applying?  Are you applying it to the whole head or just the cut?

What type of antibiotic is it?  If it is an ointment, these are like Vaseline types, then it will make your hair greasy.

Once the cut is completely healed over, you will be able to use your normal shampoo that will get rid of the greasiness.

I was told to wash my hair and it'd be fine, however this antibiotic makes my hair greasy and does not appear to want to wash out of my hair..

Applying an antibiotic to a cut on your head will not dry out your hair.

If the cut is very large, you should get it medically seen to.
Apply the antibiotic or antiseptic cream as directed on the packet and should you notice it start to hurt more or start to weep with puss, get a doctor to look at it.

Try and not wash you hair until the wound has healed.  Wounds need to be clean, but also kept dry to heal properly.  Once a scab has formed, the wound is sealed and the healing process will carry on under the scab.  The scab will drop off on it its own when the skin is healed.

Hello, no, once a day will not dry out your hair, just be careful that you do not get an infection.
