low sodium

I am a 68 year old female.  I have sodium of 132.  It has fluctuated between 132 and 136 for the last 8 years.  Is this a problem.  I was taking 100 mg of atenolol when it went to 132.  My doctor  changed me to 50 mg  a day since my b/p is much better now.  Did this affect my sodium or do I just need to eat more salt?
