How to find a new internsit.
What is the best way about finding a new internist. Mine retired from being an internist and they replaced her with a nurse practioner. It is my health and I want a md to take over my care. There are eight other doctors in the clinic where she worked. Also being diagnosed with hashimoto's 5 years ago I want someone who can take over my thyroid care as well.

I already see an endo but I am looking to find an internist who can take it over because they seem to duplicate the tests that they run on m.

I would suggest an endocrinologist. I don't blame you for wanting an Internist, they seem to go deeper into the issues that basic GP's, a Nurse Practitioner is finefor some things, but for more advanced issues, I feel the MD is the best.
