also .. if you have numbness or tingling.. my surgeon said that i had to fix mine b/c it will try and fix it self and it has nothing to connect to and it will keep sprouting thus over years you will have pain.. he gave mine a 2wk window to have surgery but it was a little worse... but you shout get checked out anyway
when i was in rehab a guy had the same area as yours and he cut a tendon and nicked a nerve too.
its quite possible you did damage if it feels that way.
hi,
i had an avocado accident and went through mine with a knife.. below my two middle fingers... well middle and ring finger to be exact. anyhow... if you had or have or still have any numbness or tingling or loss of feeling you might have nicked or severed a nerve. i severed 2 nerves.. nicked another and cut through an artery.... there was a decent amount of blood but i was able to stop it. you need to get it checked out.... and get a another or current tetnus shot. hand infections are dangerous and go to the heart.
sorry i didn't post sooner i just saw this.
further development,
my hand now feels like i hit my funnybone constantly.
Im not sure why, but i can still use my fingers so i think ill be ok.
Thanks again everyone.
i have come to the conclusion that i have cut a nerve, as i found out that locking fingers are a cause of pinched nerves.
thank you for all your help.
i think my hand will be just fine with one less nerve in it.
i guess im not really posing much of a question here,
id really like to know what the feeling in my hand is.
is it a cut nerve?
a cut tendin?
Maybe its a normal feeling for a hand injury?
or is the feeling there because of the way my hand is bandaged?
some more info.
I can still move my hand
the cut is between my thumb and my pointer finger.
the knife went less then and inch into my hand and did not poke out (pearce) of my hand
the feeling im experencing, is the same one when you cross your toes or finger and they lock up.
i have two butterfly tiches on the wound but htis pain is very odd and consistent.
