I believe I have what you are talking about, or at least it sounds allot the same. My chiropractor tells me it's a nerve being in impinged. Sometimes I get it when I turn my head and it shoots across one side of my face, There are times when it's very uncomfortable too. I continue to go to the chiro and I also have used moist heat on my neck. They both seem to help.

Have you had an MRI of your spine?  Have you seen an MS specialist?  It might be helpful to see someone very familiar with MS to thoroughly evaluate you.  Most, but not all people with MS show lesions on a MRI.

There are some very knowledgable and compassionate people on the MS forum.  You could try posting your question there, also.
