Help please

Would you mind helping me out, I want to know if the following symptoms sound like ARS to you:

At 33 days post exposure one painful/tender area at back of head at top where neck and head meet.  Not sure if it was swollen as it was near bone.

Headache that came and went using paracetamol

Pain in wrist joint

Nothing else, does this sound like ARS. I will test but until it's time to test please help me by answering thus question.

40 days will provide a good indication of your status but 90 days is 100% conclusive and that test is fine and reliable.

Ok thanks, it's a relief to know at least these symptoms aren't to do with HIV!  Do you think I can test now, 40 days post exposure. Will it tell me anything? The only test I can get here is 3rd generation ELISA ?

Classic ARS symptoms if one gets them are very high fevers--101+,body rash--mainly on the torso and sore throat.

thanks I appreciate that, the stress over potential symptoms is terrible.  This is hard enough as it is so it nice to exclude this stuff from the worry.

If one has ARS symptoms they come 2-4 weeks post exposure and last 1-2 weeks.

Ok, it's just your first answer to me seemed to say that my symptoms didn't seem like ARS? Please just tell me if I have understood that right and en I won't ask anymore. Please, it will really help me get through the next few weeks

We don't discuss symptoms, HIV has no specific symptoms

Symptoms or lack of will never tell you anything about your status. You can obtain your conclusive negative test result 3 months post exposure.

Very stupidly unprotected sex. I was keeping it together pretty well until the 'symptoms' came! They only lasted 4 days, is that too short?

I will test but your advice will help me get through.
