AFTER 8 WEEK NEGATIVE TEST, COULD I STILL BE POSITIVE?

i had unprotected sex with a girl i've known for a long time. sort of like friends with benefits....  after 2 weeks of having unprotected "everything" under the sun , i noticed i felt bad to my stomach and now for the past 2 months i dont digest properly..  i have had 3 rapid test done ... one at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 8 weeks, so far negative... i have been so paranoid of this i even asked the girl with whom i had sex with tested with me at the 8th week mark.... she was also negative... want to go back at the 12 week mark....    what are my chances i will be negative?    thanx.....

Your neg is highly unlikely to change, however only a 3 month result is conclusive per current testing guidelines.

Re-test at 13 weeks like teak told you!

In the meantime, don't lose any sleep over it!

With your combined test results it is indeed impossible that you have HIV. However, your risk was so low you didn't need to test in the first place.

You obviously have a seriously overinflated view on HIV risk. Please see my journal, "HIV RIsk in Perspective":

Personally you`re both wasting your time testing. You don`t have HIV and neither does she. You haven`t got it and she never had it.
Straight girl and guy?  Its not exactly a high risk scenario is it? Be realistic.

CDC doesn't say 6 months they say 3 months.
