CBCD test & HIV

Dear Dr. I worried about friend who had sex recently with a female that considered HIV Free, she is from South Africa and safe, she had a CBCD test after 2 years of her last sexual exposure and was normal, also she had Elissa test before one year with negative result.

My Question is what the duration after sexual exposure that CBCD could change ( WBC); and after two years that CBCD remains normal is that indicate that she is HIV Free?

I'll let you know if it ever happens. I was infected in 1984 so when it happens I'll let you know.

Thank you for the answer but I like to know as a student is there any change on WBC count after HIV infection and when the expected changes could be noticed after the sexual exposure?

The only test that tells if one is infected is an HIV tests. You can't tell if anyone is infected with a CBC or a WBC. You said she had a negative test result. She's negative.. PERIOD..
