A test conducted 3 months post-exposure is already conclusive, no need for a 6 month. Better see doctor or somebody who can help ease your anxiety.
I have a idea, Why dont you go get a test at 6 months with a standard HIV antibody test (anyone will do) and come back and post your results( on this post)
This will enable everyone to see the symptoms you had and how worried you where and will ultimately act as proof for people who are constantly worried, so please do.
So this time which kind of test can I take? Again can I go with same Anti HIV1/2 rapid test?? Or please suggest me any other test which will the accurate result...because I am not familiar with the tests accuracy...pls..
Your 9 week negative result won,t change at 12 weeks.Expect another negative result.
Your 9 week test is highly reassuring because we have not seen anyone turning positive after 9 weeks. however we still suggest you to get your follwo up test done after 12-13 weeks to get a conclusive result and lay all your worries to rest permanently
Thanks for your comments on my post...it's giving a hope on my life..Ok as per your reply 3months is more than enough to detect the antibody..so it's the perfect time for my next test..I hope it will b -ve...by the way what about the accuracy of my 9th week rapid test? Did u see any people that is -ve at 9week then +ve at 12th week?
6 Months is old news and not used anymore as the window period. It was changed to 3 Months in 2004 and anyone that tells you any different is living in the past.
Your results are conclusive, trust them. You do not have HIV, seek professional medical help for your complaints, not because of HIV
