Do I need PEP/HIV?

Hi everybody! I had an encounter with a sex worker 2 days ago. We were drunk, but I remember that the first time we certainly used a condom. Then I went for another joy with her but I don’t remember whether I actually penetrated her. One thing I remember that I ended with a blowjob. My unstable conscious makes me believe that we had a small contact without condom.i suffer from a phobia to contract HIV my whole life, so it is not a surprise that my memory can deceive me. Now, at 48th hour I started taking PEP. Do I really need a pep or just bad side effects of 1 month overweigh the  real risk of contracting HIV?

So, you mention phobia.  This is not your first go round of extreme worry?  Am I to understand that you realize the ways that people get HIV?  These include having unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV drug needles. Those are the only ways.  So, you describe an encounter in which you were intoxicated.  I'll just say that if someone believes they have a 'phobia', why would they get black out drunk and have sex?  That's self defeating for your phobia and you should address that aspect thoroughly.  Drinking like that is not of benefit to you.  You describe protected sex.  You know that is not a risk.  You describe blowjob.  That is also not a risk (saliva and air inactivate the virus).  Transmission of HIV only takes place within the body, penetration is required.  You seem unclear if you penetrated her unprotected or not.  I can't speak for what you don't remember.  And no one here can.  That's on you to stay lucid enough to be in control.  Would I take pep for this?  No. That's a very hard drug to take and a one time exposure under the worst of circumstance is less than 2 percent transmission for hiv.  VERY LOW.  And likely, it never happened and this is all part of your phobia.  So, that's my opinion.

Actually, I contacted the girl and she described the second attempt: I tried to penetrate her,  i put the head of the penis into her very dry vagina-that’s the risk. The attempt’s duration was about 20-30 seconds. Is there a sense to go ahead with PEP?
Yeah, I have been suffering from phobia from the day I started to have sex. I was drunk while having sex - that’s just a story of my stupidity and lack of responsibility
No, I wouldn't take pep for that.  While if you penis did go into her, you should test with a 4th generation duo test at 28 days or beyond to be sure, the risk is so low it doesn't warrant the use of a toxic medication like pep.  Quit drinking as it will only feed your phobia in the long run.
Thank you for your help and advice!
At this point in time, I would avoid encounters with people you don't live with because of the likely 100% risk of you contracting or spreading Covid (if one of you two was positive) in which case you might also spread it to your loved ones.
Since neither of you were social distancing, I hope you check out this forum for information on why you should be doing that 100% of the time today. https://www.medhelp.org/forums/Coronavirus/show/2203
Your health is your wealth, so I hope you remain healthy to be able to enjoy life. Many infected Covid patients including young people are under the misunderstanding that they have zero risk from Covid, but will discover that not all of them will be spared permanent lung and related heart issues in which case they have lost that wealth forever.

Touching the surface of a vagina with your penis doesn't qualify as a risk. A penetration can be defined as 2 full thrusts into a vagina. Unless, that happened there no risk that can be associated with your event.

Since you have described that you deal with phobias in your general life, the remedy is to see a therapist and work with them to seek help for it.

You don't seem to be at a risk and I don't think testing os recommended.

You know, there was an attempt to penetrate. I think I succeeded to put my penis a bit into her for a second or so.
As for phobia - I’ll look for a therapist, because stress may affect my health worse than HIV itself.
She told you that penetration didn't happen. You are going back and forth with your fears and not even trusting the person who was htere.
