Exposure in 2008, Help!

Hello, in 2008 I had a risky exposure with a female CSW. I had condom protected sex, with an unprotected handjob. I am not sure how I was exposed but I am 99% certain I have been due to symptoms I have started experiencing in December. Up until then, I have only had a weird unexplained body rash that appeared last year that I would consider "weird".  It came and went away.

But as of December I have had the following HIV symptoms: stomach aches (slightly better now), loose stools, GERD (acid reflux), heartburn, mouth ulcers, white tongue with sometimes thick coat? (thrush?), dry lips, plugged up sinuses with yellowish mucus in the morning (which I still have, is this a sinus infection?), small blood when I blow my nose (sometimes), achey leg pains in right upper leg & groin, and behind left knee (possible lymph nodes), possibly swollen lymph node in neck and right armpit, pimples, contact dermatitis on sides of head where glasses meet skin... is this seborrhea? (I have had eczema as a kid)  , dry skin and dry hands (I wash them a lot), scratchy throat but not severe or really painful, dry cough (sometimes), extreme fatigue sometimes, (not as bad lately), eye floaters are seen a lot, and more I probably can't remember.

Are these classic HIV symptoms? Why get a lot of this in December? Would HIV start affecting me all of a sudden 2+ years after? This was my only stupid mistake I have ever made that put me in danger. Is it possible I have HIV with a condom protected encounter, something could have went wrong without me knowing! I just feel not right at all since December, everything I get points to HIV. Most of what I am contacting now sticks with me and doesn't go away, isn't this a sign of a poor immune symptom? Experts out there... does this sound like I have HIV?

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and help me,

Thanks.

Your question has no context. It doesn't matter what an HIV rash looks like if you didn't put yourself at risk for it. People without HIV get rashes all the time.

I have nothing more to say on this thread. I suggest that you direct any additional questions to a doctor if your rash or other symptoms concern you. This forum has assessed your situation as a no risk situation for HIV.

Joggen, the rash I got twice since this encounter looks like pityriasis rosea. I'm not sure if that's what it was but if you google it it looked exactly like that. I got the rash once in 2008, went away in a couple weeks, and also last year 2010, same thing. Was raised and not itchy, only had it in a couple places wasn't everywhere. Mostly on arms and waist. Does HIV rash look like that and does HIV rash come and go away like mine did? I currently don't have the rash and haven't since summer last year. But now of course I'm all sorts of sick. Thanks for your kind help.

A CSW is not going to use a "used" condom. They use condoms to protect themselves from their customers (not the other way around) and have a good understanding of proper safe sex practices. Your concern is a baseless manifestation of paranoia and nothing more.

Thanks Joggen, can you help put me at ease on one more thing. Since the encounter was in 2008 memory is still foggy to then but I am almost sure I never saw the wrapper for the condom the CSW provided, an reading other posts of "used" condoms here is scaring me. If for chance that was the case, would I be at risk of being exposed by the prior user? This now scares me!!

Thanks

I didn't change my mind since I last posted. The variations that you are observing with your body have nothing to do with HIV. See a doctor if they concern you.

Thank you for the help, I have a few more questions,

Are you certain the activities I engaged in put me in NO risk, yes I wore a Condom the entire time, and had an unprotected handjob.

And is it possible all these symptoms I am having which are very HIV like, 3 years after this exposure, are something else.. read my symptoms again... all of those happening all at once when before November I had none of them.

Thank you.

HIV has no specific symptoms and handjobs don't transmit HIV.

Are my symptoms classic HIV symptoms and does it normally take 2 years to see symptoms like these in an HIV person? Are you sure nothing could have went wrong during the condom sex? I did not provide the condom and not sure if it was good. The unprotected handjob scares me because she massaged hard, possible vaginal fluids could have been massaged in me.

There was no realistic way you could have been infected with HIV in the situation that you provided.  You have no basis to be concerned about HIV.

Oh and to add I really don't get fevers, I check my temperature regularly to see if I get fevers and it usually is 97.6... is this a good sign against HIV?
