General Question

I had an unprotected sexual encounter with a woman of unknown status over 14 months ago.. Came down with every symptom in book which are still present to this day.. Tested neg for HIV numerous times with various means with last being a rapid test HIV Oraquick 1/2 at 13 months and nonreactive.. Having a hard time believing results with symtpoms persisting but am tryin by best. Was just wondering what the longest seroconversion time was that someone tested positive for HIV? If that is even documented. Forgot to mention I live in U.S. Thanks ahead of time for any and all responses

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.

this forum is hiv specific.  if you are having health concerns...continue to work with your dr...ITS NOT HIV RELATED and therefore not a concern of this forum.

was wondering what std's might be linked to white blemishes on tip of penis and/or rectal discharge?

Then see a Dr, it has nothing to do with HIV.

your test proves...WITHOUT A DOUBT...that you did not contract hiv.

anxiety can and does cause very real "physical" symptoms.  once you truly accept your negative status...you'll be surprised at how your symptoms will magically disappear.

Thats correct.Only an hiv test taken at 3 Months post-exposure is going to provide you with conclusion and the answer you seek, symptoms or no symptoms.

No matter what a persons symptoms might be even if they are all pointing to HIV tests rule out symptoms every time? No matter what?

If something is wrong with you it has nothing to do with HIV.

The weirdest thing happened last night... After going through this 14 month stretch that has been the worst of my 24 year life to this point... My little brother who is 19 text me yesterday saying an angel came to him in his dreams and said to pray for me and help me.. Hope that is a good sign and not meaning that something is wrong with me

Your symptoms are not hiv related. You do not require any further testing.Your test results are conclusive. You can relax now.Take care.

I tested for all std's at 12 weeks via blood test sent to lab.. All tests since than were HIV with last being at 13 months and NEG.. You suggest any further testing? I just dont know what to think with symptoms still present

You tested numerous times you said and all results were negative. You don,t have an hiv concern.Did you test for other STD,s though? There was a documented case of a nurse who tested positive on an elisa test 8Months after her exposure via a needle stick injury. She was co-infected with HCV and HIV.This was back in the 1990,s mind you.
