You're welcome,
Take care.
This test is for HIV 1 p24 antigen.
From what I've learned so far is this antigen proceeds the bodies production of hiv specific antibodies.
These antigens can be detected as early as 2weeks in some people.
When antibodies are produced antigen values fall, antibody values rise making the 4th generation test the best option at 28 days. A newly infected person will test positive for either one or possibly both.
This is information from hiv experts.
The conflict of information out there is that the window period to detect antigen is short while it's also said you will always have this antigen until antibodies are produced.
The second half of my above sentence makes more sense.
I hope one of my forum friends could add a more conclusive answer . If they don't see this and reply I'll look into this further later. I'm not home to do this now.
I would ask those who administered the test why they didn't give you a 4th generation test to begin with. It would have been more conclusive and reliable.
Just reread CurfewXs reply.
The chances you'll test positive after your previous tests are near zero.
The Drs who used to post here have not seen an 8 week negative turn positive in their 30 years of experience.
It will be conclusive.
The Drs who used to post here and are well respected in their field and have over 30 yrs each experience in HIV. Neither one has seen an 8 week negative turn positive.
I'd say that gives you good reason to relax and trust your final test will be negative.
You can trust the answer CurfewX gave you. She is "very" knowledgeable about this.
84 days as she said.
BTW, you didn't mention if you used a condom or if you're concerned about oral.
Your negative test is extremely unlikely to change at this point. Don't focus on the values - they will be different every time you take the test. Just take a final test at 84 days and you'll know for sure, but in almost EVERY case, an HIV infection would have been detected by one of the tests you took already. Modern tests are very sensitive. Just take the last one for peace of mind, and then stop testing - if it's negative, you're conclusively negative.
about the person i had sex with: i do not know her well, and i do not trust her, what is worse i think she had chlamydia but i will never know it because soon as i saw some symptoms i took azytromycin and after that my tests results were negative for bacteria except Ureaplasma. When i ask her about it and press to do HIV test and communicate with me her results she says she is healthy and has no problem,
