HIV worries

Hi, I'm a 20 year old hetrosexual male who had unprotected vaginal, anal and oral sex with a 33 year old woman about 3 months ago. after the incident I began to feeling a bit ill but only midly and thought I must just be coming down with something. Two weeks after exposure I woke up in the night I had severe vomiting and diarrhea about 6 or 7 times each I also think there may of been some swelling of my glands in my neck. these few hours were the only time when I was vomiting and I might have still had a bit of diarrhea for a bit after I can't really remember but it was no where near as bad as that night. After a few days I started to feel better although it probably took me a good few weeks to fully recover. now at the 3 month mark I have taken the test and the results should be received in a week or so but I have since really convinced myself the I have HIV after scouring the internet for hours worrying. This is because of having vomiting diarrhea and maybe a swollen lymph nodes are very rare to have at the same time and it seems one of the only explanation for this is HIV and this coupled with the fact that this happened two weeks after unprotected sex has got me very worried I think it was only my neck that swollen though or if I had other swollen lymph nodes at the time I didn't really notice for them but I wasn't particuarly looking for them though either. I know its not too long until my results but I am so worried and am only sleeping about 1-2 hours an night for these last few nights. I was wondering if these could be HIV symptoms I know no one can tell me for sure or could they be something else? thankyou.

In case of Hiv infection, lymph nodes thorughout the body swell, again you have not been diagnosed by a doctor about your lymph nodes being swolen. Do not jump to conclusions. Wait for your results.

that was supposed to say all the nodes everywhere in your body should swell up, sorry about that

Do you have anything to add on the fact that I think it was only my neck glands that were swollen as I read because hiv is in the bloodstream all your nodes everywhere in your body, and is it possible that I could havenever noticed these swellings even if they were there.

Thankyou for your response I know it was a really stupid thing to do. I know I shouldn't, but I am so worried and its hard not to make links between symptoms and whether I have HIV especially when I really do feel that I have contracted it.

Unprotected sex is always risky. Do not diagnose yourself with symptoms. As you have tested at the right time, you should get a conclusive result. All the best.
