I had a risk roughly a year and two months ago with an ex-girlfriend who used to date an injecting drug user who had hepatitis C, but was supposedly negative for HIV (according to her and her mother). I freaked out after we broke up because I ended up developing Pityriasis Rosea on my trunk and legs, had a sinus infection/cold of some sort, adenoids ended up getting removed, but no real fever. Went crazy with anxiety and got a DNA PCR test at about 35 days which was negative, an ELISA at about 3 and a half weeks, Rapid at 4, and a Home Access Test at 2 and a half months.

My ex also went to planned parenthood for a rapid and supposedly tested negative. I was prescribed a super potent topical coritcosteroid (Clobetasol) and overused it for ~2 weeks. I then went on a testing spree with rapids out to a year and almost a month. I tested using unigold, oraquick, clearview stat pak and complete. I saw some redness on the side of one of my complete tests but nurse said it was negative. All tests have been negative, should I stop at this point? Ive also been tested for Hep out to 8 months, all negative as well.

Let's be frank about this - you do not have HIV or Hepatitis C.
Your test was taken well out the appropriate time so it doesn't matter what is on the outside, the centre or anywhere else on the test because there aren't the necessary reagents in those parts - they are only in the control and test lines/ spots. A valid Control /C spot or line and no Test / T spot or line, means no HIV.

I guess that's why NHS clinics in the UK don't show patients the instant test because some patients might freak out at the the bubble bath in the middle (and the guidelines say they *must* be done in a lab).
