How worried should I be?

Hi Doc.  I am a 43 year old male, and yesterday morning i made an incredibly stupid mistake and allowed another male to perform unprotected oral sex on me.  The whole encounter lasted 5 minuted or less.  I am freaking out a bit now, as I do not know what I have gotten myself into.  How common is it for someone to aquire an std in this manner?  To complicate things, i am married and am worried aboutthe impacts there.  I plan to get tested next week for chlamydia and gonnarhea.  I am also worried about herpes, but I did not notice any sores on his mouth. How worried should I be,  and how much trouble am I in?

Since you didn't mention it, I will assume you understand you had no risk of contracting HIV from this encounter.
Other STDs are a possibility and it's good you're going to test for them. Someone with more statistical knowledge than me will have to inform you of the risk factor for aquiring other STDs, which includes herpes.
Being married does pose some complications, but most tests for STDs do not take long to show results. Most STDs can be cured quite easily, but herpes is forever. I doubt I need advise you to avoid ANY sexual contact with your wife/partner until you get your tests results and if anything should come up positive, to completely finish the medication and be retested to make sure it's gone before you have sex.
How worried should you be? I don't really know. Some, I would guess.
How much trouble are you in? From whom or what?
