INSTI one minute in vitro HIV test

The Insti test provides results in one minute.

They are currently being test-piloted in the UK in selected clinics

Do they use these in many countries?

Looks like a good idea as so many people allegedly don't turn up for their results.
Speaking to a mate on Thursday, he said a girl he knew jumped in front of a train with an envelope in her hand "HIV" written on it the day before she should have gone for her results.

They are afraid HIV will kill them so they kill themself. Don't understand it myself. (yes I know technically HIV/Aids weakens the immune system and doesn't kill before any pedant jumps on me)

These are currently being used in private clinics in the UK. The THT offers rapid tests at a couple of its sites, and you can book to receive a rapid test at the GUM clinic at Guys and St Thomas Hospital, London Bridge.

There have been a couple of cases in the UK where people have killed themselves awaiting test results. One guy stopped his car over a level crossing and waited for the train to hit him. The train driver also died.
