We have the same problem in the HCV Forum. Some people come there and will not accept the fact that they are not at risk. It doesn’t matter how many times you tell them. Even when they are told over and over “if you are that concerned, get tested,” they still won’t let up. We call them HCV Groupies.
thank u for your usefull insight!
Keep it over at the OCD forum.
I am on a waiting list for CBT, i have posted in the anxiety rooms also and they have been v polite and helpfull
They advised me to post in here also to get more facts and professional opinions. Obv that isnt a good idea!
pretty much all of your posts in the anxiety and ocd forums are hiv related too. it's obvious that you need professional help for your hiv phobia...i hope you are seeing a doctor about this.
And you posted in the anxiety forum for what reason? Non risk HIV concerns? Seek professional mental help for your phobias.
I have made a total of 14 posts in the HIV forum!!
And i have to say that this is the rudest forum on medhelp, get shot down for asking questions.
go to "my medhelp" at the top of the page. it shows every post and comment you have ever made.
40 nonrisk posts from you is very offensive. If you would have read the guidelines and followed them you wouldn't have anyone have to repeat them for you. Keep it up and you'll be banned from the forum.
No offence Teak, but why do u always post that when someone is in distress and asks a question? not exactly fair is it
* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusive negative results or a no-risk situation will be based up the criteria MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
* After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
* Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
* Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.
thanx for that, i wasnt sure
i guess also that if u touched blood say on money, or on the floor that you would have to have a large cut (a kind that would need a band aid) for you to be at possible risk also?
no way to catch hiv in this way
