Sibling Issue

Hello Everyone,

I have a bro for whom I am writing this query. It has been more that 30 days since he has had an exposure with couple of  girls he met abroad. He says that he only finger ****** and mastrubated mutual, but he appears little worried. He does not talk about it much and so I am hoping that someone will help answer my queries.

1. Assuming that he did not have penetrative sex, how much of a risk is he in?

2. If he did have intercourse, in how many weeks should the symptoms appear? I read in some of the posts that it is 2-4 weeks after infection. Kindly clarify if it means 2-4 weeks after the sexual act?

3. Can he get tested in week 6 for a good indication ?

4. Is there anything else that we need to think about?

We are a conservative family and we have not discussed the matter with anyone yet, but was hoping to get some guidance through your website.

Advice is always based on the situation described. If your brother did not get involve in unprotected sex (or protected but condom failed), then he does not require any testing as advised by Teak.

I am sure he was honest in telling you the situation and extent of the exposure.

Thanks and greatly appreciated

I believe in my bro but worried if there is something else that he is worried about. That is why I asked Q 2, 3 and 4.

I would appreciate if some can provide some guidance .

He didn't have a risk and doesn't need testing. HIV is not transmitted by masturbation.
