Oral, Syphilis, HIV?

Hello

This is not my first time here and I know that after oral sex you don't recomend testing. Actually I've read many questins about hiv and oral sex and I know that experts in this this comunity say that this is a no risk exposure.
The reason why I'm posting this question is that I think I've contacted syphilis by insertive unprotected oral sex. So this means that the woman who gave it to me had a syphilis chancre in her mouth. If she also has HIV, have I been exposed taking in consideration that a chancre it's an ulcer that may produce more HIV virus?

Thank you!

"when syphilis is present"-you don't even know if you have syphilis and as Dr.Hook told you no you probably don't.

And oral sex is not a risk at all.

Hello

I got scared because I have oral thrush which I know it can be due to the antibiotic. I took augmentin for 6 days, twice a day but this hasn't cured the sore throut I have. It hurts and I feel pain when I swallow.
I've just read on the CDC site about syphilis and hiv and I got more scared.
"What is the link between syphilis and HIV?

Genital sores (chancres) caused by syphilis make it easier to transmit and acquire HIV infection sexually. There is an estimated 2- to 5-fold increased risk of acquiring HIV if exposed to that infection when syphilis is present.

Ulcerative STDs that cause sores, ulcers, or breaks in the skin or mucous membranes, such as syphilis, disrupt barriers that provide protection against infections. The genital ulcers caused by syphilis can bleed easily, and when they come into contact with oral and rectal mucosa during sex, increase the infectiousness of and susceptibility to HIV. Having other STDs is also an important predictor for becoming HIV infected because STDs are a marker for behaviors associated with HIV transmission." this is from the CDC
Is this true?

Thank you!

Hello

After reading this forum a year ago I was convinced that oral sex is not way of catching HIV. Now after this syphilis problem I've been reading online and I found many sites that state that if one of the partners has syphilis and HIV the chance for the other partner to catch HIV is 2 to 5 times higher. Is this true? I'm really scared now
