Peripheral Neuropathy

I am very concerned because I had unprotected sexual intercourse on Dec 12th, 08 (wasn't meant to be but the guy i was with purposely removed the condemn) and two weeks later , I had a yeast infection in my mouth, sore throat,   frequent and  sudden urge to urinate, severe muscle aches, arthiritis pain,  especially in my neck and shoulders,  ankles , knees, wrists, and went to my doctor who thought i suffered from some psychological problems because i had massive paranoia in his office, and  he claimed i had nothing! My heels were so painful that the doctor doesn't seem to understand. I have a hard time trusting doctors since the guy i last dated was a surgeon who was a drug addict at the same time. ALso, my ex-husband was one too and he was the most ruthless and deceptive lying SOB one could ever come across.

Anyhow, to satisfy me, he ordered some blood work for a CBC. He told me the test came back negative. I had this test done only 3 weeks after my encounter with my boyfriend who has a gross history of engaging in unprotected sex from here to other parts of the world including latin america.
He also had me get a PCR to check for Lyme disease! Not sure where he got that idea, he doesn't seem to understand that this onset of symptoms has taken place immediately after my unprotected encounter.  My std's all came back negative  with the exception of
(Herpes Simplex 1) but then i later find out the guy i was with  had something called Chancroid. I talked him into getting HIV tested himself since I came to the realization he was ALWAYS sick with a cold the whole time I knew him.  He stated to me over the phone he got an HIV rapid test done in Latin America, and that it's negative but that he had something called Chancroid. The doctor never tested me for this disease. He put me on doxyclinine since the ER said  i had a PID )which i believe developed from a abortion i had when i had a blighted ovum one time while married) because all my STD results came out negative and i have been abstinent now for almost 2 years.

It's been a month and 10 days since my sexual encounter and I'm off the medications but seem to be suffering still from this neuropathy. It's especially horrible at night and tends to awaken me from sleep. It runs down my hands to my arms now and seems to lock and affect my ankles, foot, toes, wrist, neck, left ear and mostly my fingers. It's mostly unilateral, but when i'm laying down it's bilateral and i also have these spikes shooting in my feet as though they've fallen asleep and then they would numb up so suddenly.

My question is, would a CBC show the results of whether one is HIV negative or positive in a matter of weeks after my sexual encounter??? Wouldnt it usually take longer for it to show up, like three months??

He did run a PCR on me but it was to check for Lyme disease, not HIV. I wanted to get the p24  antigen test done on me since I was having an onset of muscuoskeletal pain and neurological symtpoms so sudden that it led me to believe it had to be 100% related to my sexual encounter with this guy because i;ve never experienced ANYTHING like this my entire life, especially since it started about 2 1/2 weeks after my encounter.

Are there any good tests i should consider to check for HIV??? I am so worried because it seems family doctors aren't good at treating for STD's from my experience and observations. Plus, they can care less from what it seems what one has. I mean i am experiencing horrible symptoms and have lost a total of 16 pounds over the month and have severe nerve pain targeting primarily my feet and hands and they tell me i don't have anything! If i was a hypochondriac, maybe i would've been in the mental institution. It's the pain that's causing me this stress and anxiety, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! please help me on how I can get a rapid and accurate HIV test done. The problem is i just had a Flu vaccine done and i know it's too late to do another PCR for HIV testing since i've exceeeded the three week period. Plus, my flu vaccine would probably alter the results of a PCR. Please give me some type of a tip or test I can have done that is 100% accurate.  Thanks in advance for your help and I apologize for the length of my blog.

Chancroid is a sexually transmitted infection characterized by painful sores on the genitalia. Chancroid is known to be spread from one to another individual through sexual contact.
