Do hiv tests in the UK detect all strains of hiv?
Hi I need to know if hiv tests in the UK will detect all groups and subtypes of hiv?
I looked up your other posts to see what your risk was. Unprotected sex but a while ago and you have tested negative. You need to trust your results. 4th generation test after 28 days? You do not have HIV. If you can not let it go, I would talk to your doctor about anxiety.

You sound like you are anxious posting to be honest. Your test in the UK that is 4th generation is all you need to know you do not have HIV if it is negative. Recent 'rare' strains were found to be a strain of HIV 1 so will show up in a 4th generation test. The 4th generation test finds HIV 1 and 2 strains so it would show and you can now move on for good, I hope.
