should i be ok

Hi doc,

i had unprotected vaginal sex with a lady, who i dont know but am worried she could have had hiv. it happened 31/05/08 a couple of weeks after i started to get genitle warts i have been very paranoid of this. so after 12 weeks and 2 days i got tested for all STD's they all came back negitive. i have went to the docs who advised that my blood should a typical viral infectionb last week he advised to come back for more tests in 2 weeks to make sure this has  cleared. in the past few weeks i have had trouble sleeping, diareaha, nausea, tingling and numbness in arms and legs and fingers, swllen lynth nodes in throat and swollen gland. docs says it could be gladular fever however my results for that were also neg. in your experience.

how high was my risk- chances of getting hiv

and also a test at 12 weeks how accurate is this ?

i have been off work ill with this for 2 weeks and am so depressed about the thought of having this and having to tell my family etc.

thanks for your time

hi guys,

i done the hiv test at 12 weeks. the doc said that i was low risk. however he said call up to an automated service for your results after 2 weeks. however out of anixety i called the line after 3 days and they had my results back as negitive. i thought this was a short space of time. would you agree ?

This is not a doctor's forum. You had unprotected sex with someone of unknown status which put you at risk. The only conclusive way of checking your status would be, an antibody test after 3 months of exposure.
