Snorting

I'm so afraid that you can catch HIV from sharing snorting gear. I did it twice with people and I'm scared to death. There is not a lot of info about it on the internet. I called the CDC and they said that it was low risk. Does anybody have an opinion? Should I keep getting tested?

Is it possible not to share this equipment with each other because if it is i'd insist on it man...although the chances are low and all.

I'm talking HCV only.  But HCV is a very serious matter, not an acceptable risk at all.

I hope your talking about HCV and not HIV because I'm concerned about this conversation.

Yes, blood, even in trace amounts.  Lots of blood vessels in there and they get irritated by the drugs.  HCV can survive outside the body for quite a while.  It requires blood to blood transmission to infect.  Happens like this - a straw goes up one irritated nose and gets trace amount of blood on it, then put it up another irritated nose and voila!  Blood to blood.  Several folks who post on the hepatitis forum were infected that way.

Be safe, don't snort or if you do, use your own gear.
