Someone Please Help. How Accurate are OraQuick results at 10 Weeks?

How accurate are OraQuick HIV tests at 10 Weeks?
Boo1912
Hi all. I took an OraQuick HIV test on January 3rd of this year (2018). My exposure date was October 23rd, 2017. So it was 10 weeks and 2 days between my exposure date and my testing date. It was negative. Thank god. But I have some questions about it's accuracy.

- How accurate are my results at 10 weeks and 2 days? I know they recommend waiting until 12 weeks to test. But mine was negative at 10 weeks. I read online that most people test positive after 6 weeks. Is there any way it could have been a false negative based on the fact I took it nearly two weeks before the recommended 12 week testing time?

Thanks so much!

Sorry, you have to follow the guideline to get a useful test result. If there was any purpose in testing at 10 weeks you wouldn't be told to wait for 12.
