what makes for a decreased immunity?
Quote from the website you have given....
"Our standard DUO HIV test results are available within 4 hours by phone, or in person. This includes the p24 antigen and HIV 1 and 2 antibodies. We can test 28 days after contact; we recommend retesting at 3 months post exposure. "
It's say "we recommend retesting at 3 months post exposure".........
theres a lab in London who offer an antibody test at 4 weeks and say it is 96%. have a look at samedaydoctor dot c o uk
It may be a conservative to have 12 weeks as conclusive result. The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. All but the very smallest number of those who are going to seroconvert will do so within 4-6 weeks after an exposure.
But I am sticking to 12 weeks for now.
Reasons, not everyone reading this forum has the same medical tests available and not everyone has the same body health conditions.
Can you imagine, if someone using the earlier test method and have some specific immune illness reading your post and only take a 30 days test..,and not taking a 12 weeks test....
Btw, 30 days is still too early. I think, 6 weeks preliminary test and assuming the test result is negative, the likelihood that will change by 12 weeks is remote.
look man it rarely takes 12 weeks to show a positive most do within 30 days this is just a conservative figure to cover someones behind you dig
Thank you. Copy from medical papers.... : o )
