Tested

Both are duo 4th generation test done in the UAE
the clinic has an American certification for STD testing, with state of the art equipment.

Mine are as follows ELISA and P24
3 weeks HIV 1&2 + P24 Negative
5 weeks HIV 1&2 + P24 Negative

Should I continue to test?

Also Does HIV 2 show up latter?

I am in the same boat as you are,for the forum 3 months testing is mandate for conclusiveness irrespective of the generations of tests but some sites also claim to test till six months for an absolute clearance..I have taken so far 8 ECLIAs,2 ELISA rapids,1 DUO test and 1 TRIDOT test till 24 weeks but still not out of the paranoia..I know its tough to wait till so called WINDOW but thats how it goes..Our prayers are with you my dear friend..

Your results are very encouraging but as you probably are aware they are not conclusive.A test result at 3months post-exposure will be conclusive for both hiv1 and 2.Only then will you receive the answers you seek. All the best.

UPDTAE

My partner tested at 6 weeks HIV 1&2 + P24 Negative after her possible exposure. Does anyone think that I can finally breath here. we are not in the US and I am really worried that the exposure could be like HIV2 or HIV 0 subtype. I am going to get help for my mental state but as i am not in the US my resources are limited to pretty much this site. I need your thoughts...

6weeks negative is very encouraging but not conclusive until 3months.The test she had tests for hiv1 and 2.You need to stop worrying and except the good news thus far.
