Thought it was herpes

But it's evolving. On 9/1, about 70 hours ago, I had protected oral (receptive) and protected vaginal intercourse with a woman. The very next day I began to burn in my scrotum, perinium, and anus as well as pee frequently. My lymph nodes swelled up the next day and a long and narrow purple stretch-mark looking rash appeared on my inner thigh going from the base of my scrotum out. Today, red bumps are appearing all over my body, the skin on my face is peeling, and I noticed a very strong burning sensation in the warm shower. My lymph nodes are more swollen than they were, though not painfully, and my urethra still hurts and scrotum still burns, though this is a duller pain than previously. I also have what appears to be an eye infection.

Are these consistent with symptoms of early HIV?

You don't have an HIV concern.

Dr. said that these symptoms are not diagnostic. But here I sit with uretritus, a rash all over my body, blurred vision, "out of it," with growths in my eyes and definite oral thrush. I'm a textbook case. This is so depressing.

You do not have HIV. You had no risk. What did your Dr. Say about your symptoms?

Well. I went to the doctor this morning and he prescribed medicines for gonorreah and chlamidya.
After taking these, I noticed my uritritis had gone down a bit, but now I have a case of oral thrush, with long white sores inside my cheek.

Add another one into the positive pile. Has anyone turned out negative after symptoms like this? It's only Day 4!

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr. Hook
"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
"I would not say your risk ,if he had HIV is "slim to none"- that's too high.  I would say they are effectively zero.  How much of his ejaculate or other genital  secretions you may have swallowed makes no difference.  EWH "
"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow." Dr.Hook

The fact is I now have red skin all over and what looks pretty consistent with an HIV rash on my back, chest and legs. Has anyone here had these classic symptoms so early on and then turned negative result after 6 months?

Those symptoms are not ARS symptoms because you never had a risk of hiv infection in the first place. You need to start excepting the facts and let this go.Your safe and no testing is required.

I've got a nasty rash on my torso and upper arm now and my back near my spinal cord is swollen and painful. Does this seem consistent with HIV? Also noticing lesions/boils in my mouth. How would it present itself so soon? Has anyone who later tested negative had similar symptoms less than 4 days after exposure?

Protected sex is no risk of HIV. You dont have HIV. As for your other symptoms. I am not a Dr. But it sounds like anxaity to me. Just calm down. HIV is not a concern.

As for STDs you will have to post in the STD fourm.

NUMBER 1 ((( You had zero exposure ))))

2.) HIV ARS would not show up until 2 or 3 weeks after expouser (which you had non)
3.) Only a doctor can tell you that your nodes are swelling.

you cannot catch HIV if you did not have Exposure. period.

Take care and continue to keep you and your partners safe
