Tinea Barbae and HIV

Hi there,

can anyone tell me if tinea barbae has anything to do with an hiv infection.  I thought I had swollen lymph nodes, but my doctor laughed and told me it's just tinea barbae ... a fungal infection inside the skin ... not under the skin like lymph nodes.  Just wondering if tinea barbae is anything to worry about.  Thanks!

Jesse
