Trying to clear some things up

I read on this site and many others about health care workers testing positive after the 3 (or to some 6) month guidelines....All within a year but after the reccomendations. Why does this happen if the 3 (or heck 6) so cut and dry. Shouldnt that not be the guideline then? If any have any good refrences to help me with that would be great because every where i find is topic but no backing as to why this happned.

I was not reffering to Dr. Bob, there are other Drs on that site in the experts section. It was to Dr Kull (i think) Either way other doctors on the forum.
And where it was read on this forum was old posts maybe from 08 in discussion about this subject with not resolution.

"Specialist" not plural, that doesn't practice medicine and by a lot of his answers doesn't keep up with today's data.

You've never read that on this forum and as for the Body I would rather get my information on HIV from my veterinarian.

Sorry Teak, i prob should have kept the links. They are sprinkled about thebody.com under the experts forums (diff experts) and under discussion in these forums in past dates. They mostly just say that it was suspected that they were co infected with HEPC and prob played a hand. I just know they all were HCW and all took longer than the norm.
