Had unprotected oral fr 15 mins follewed by unprotected vaginal sex with a chinese sex worker of unknown status. I understand that i was at risk and symptoms cant be used to diagnoise and am goin to get tested at the earliest oppourtunity since am out f country. Would be very grateful If any f you could clarify my following doubts.
On day 27 after exposure i had a mild fever which lasted fr one day. Though the fever was gone the next morn, the same eve i had maculopapular rash. But the problm is the rash appeared only on my upper arms til the elbow(roughly around 10 spots on each arm) and two spots on my left thigh and one spot on my right thigh, one spot on my back and one spot near my collar bone. n the next morn i had an ulcer on the lateral side f my tongue. though tis ulcer disappeard within two days another ulcer appeared on the other lateral side f my tongue. eventually i had three ulcers on the sides f tongue which appeared one by one and disappearing within a day or two maximum. I didnt ve any other symptoms lke sorethroat, fatigue or muscle pain.I also have shedding of skin on my palms fr last two weeks which again s being seen in patients during seroconversion.
Following are my doubts.
1. Can the rash be ARS rash since it appeared aftr the fever and the rash together with recurrent ulcer on tongue s highly indicative f hiv??
2. From this forum i heard fever has to last little longer. But however, it s commom fr patients to have mild seroconversion and ppl in POZ forum have had mild fever for jus two days. Is that posssible.
3.Considering the fact that i had mild fever fr a day and mild rash(disappeaing in four days) n ulcers disappearing within a day or two, is t possible that i could be havin a mild seroconversion.
I know anxiety could drive us nuts. But rash together with recurrent ulcers s wat worries me. Appreciate if TEAK, Nursegirl or any one out there could help me with tis.
