Will following drugs affect test results ?

Dear all ,

I have another high risk activity on 16th August.

However ,

Till date - I have been taking the following drugs :

Lexapro
Fluoxetine
Clonazepam

They are antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class.

So are they of any street drugs/anti rejection drugs or some drugs that will affect me results ?

If I am taking these drugs for months .. and planning to do a test after 3 months , will it be accurate ?

Do I still have to test again at 6 months ? Will it be conclusive ?

I always have this thought :

If it is positive - there's no chance of becoming negative and thus a 'final' answer

Whereas

If it is negative - there's a possibility of becoming positive hence got to worry.

Okay - thankfully that those drugs (despite not being 'street drugs') won't affect my results .. will get tested at 3 months in November.

Thanks ! (:

No those drugs will not affect your test results. 3 months will be conclusive. A question for you. Are you trying to contract HIV? It's not like this is your first time here.

Hi Teak ,

I have sex with a lady without condom and is thinking of a test during November.

I'm just asking if those drugs taken will affect my results (in coming November) and thus having to test 6 months later.

Nothing else.. Thanks ..
