General Question

Hi..
I had sex with someone wjo has had and keeps having multiple partners. I used a condom and as far as I know it did not break.. It slipped upwards a little bit.. But I guess the tip was always covered..

I did a Aptima RNA test on day 12 and it came negative.. And I was going to get a blood antibody test at week 6.. I m at week 5 now.. However I sprained my ankle a couple of days back..

I took 2 advil on the day I sprained and hv stopped taking it since I thought it may or may not interfere with the test..

I am concerned tht due to the sprain .. My normal antibodies might be higher and could this give me a incorrect result?

Should I still go for six weeks or wait till I heal myself off this sprain..

Also.. My swelling subsided almost 80-90% without taking any advil and just putting bandage on it.. Is it because I had a lot of antibodies already?

I m just a little concerned!!!

Thanks in advance!!

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.

Hi teak,
I understand and i know i had low/no risk...

However, if i still test next week, for my piece of mind... could a sprained ankle give any false positives on an antibody test!
